I was reading an idea that TrueHoop suggested. It was a trade that sent Simmons to the Pelicans in exchange for Brandon Ingram and Kira Lewis. At first I was like this isn’t a bad idea but if you were the Pelicans what would you need with another player who isn’t much of a shooter? I think the Sixers are just going to have to go into the season and hope someone gets desperate and trade someone the Sixers want.
I firmly believe the Sixers are holding out for Damian Lillard. I think they know they won’t get much for Simmons right now. In fact, I think they would rather Simmons come back to the team then trade him for the offers they have seen thus far. What do you think?
