Warriors’ Wiggins could miss all home NBA games!

Warriors’ Wiggins could miss all home NBA games

First when I saw this yesterday, I didn’t think much of it. Then I started to think of the Warriors lineup with out Wiggins. Steph Curry would have to have super performances just to keep the games competitive. The Warriors won’t have Klay Thompson back for at least 2 months. Kelly Oubre who was Klay’s replacement is now in Charlotte. Wiggins could really hurt the Warriors if he’s sideline early this season. The Western Conference is loaded with solid teams that could easily turn the Warriors season upside down.

I’m not saying that Wiggins should get vaccinated but I do think his personal stance will ultimately determine the way the season goes for the Warriors. Wiggins was the 2nd leading scorer on the team in ’20-21 and was probably their best defensive player. What do you think of the Warriors chances if Wiggins is sideline with no Klay Thompson?

NOTES:

Golden State plays its home games in San Francisco, one of two NBA markets where local jurisdiction prohibits players from entering their home arena unless they are fully vaccinated.

San Francisco announced last month that all “operators or hosts” (yes, that includes players) of large indoor events (any indoor gathering exceeding 5,000 people) are required to show proof of vaccination by October 13. (Source Forbes)
