There may be a slight chance of another round of stimulus checks!
Jobless claims have been spiking since Aug 21. The first week of this month we saw 335,000 jobless claims filed. Week of September 18 we saw an additional 351,000 jobless claims filed!
Most economist aren’t surprise with these rising jobless claims. Most of them predicted this because of the Delta variant which is causing all kinds of problems across the country.
Right now almost 3 million people are receiving jobless benefits.
No one wants these rates to continue but this could fuel a discussion for a 4th stimulus.
Also, watch out for the government shutdown possibility which could cause additional anxiety for another stimulus.
