According to survey results released Tuesday by the American Gaming Association, 45.2 million Americans are expected to bet on the NFL this season, a 36% increase compared to last season’s survey. The reason for the increase is the expanding regulation with the sports market.
The American Gaming Association survey found that an estimated 37% of NFL fans are planning to wager on the league this season, including 47% of responders who identified as “avid” NFL fans. Sixty-three percent of NFL fans who responded to survey said sportsbooks at stadiums adds value to the in-person experience.
I knew when Draft Kings and Fan Duel got the green light that there would be a be major surge in betting! Even when people are not waging money on games people enjoy the thrill of seeing other people’s faces when they win. So its not a surprise to me that gaming would increase this year for the NFL! Are you surprise?
